Sharon Chrystal, Managing Director of Residential Care Services, and Amy Finch, Deputy Manager and Occupational Therapist, from Active Assistance received a glowing review from the CQC’s Director of Policy and Strategy, after being invited to join the regulatory body on their recent away day.

Sharon was asked by CQC to give a presentation on Active’s Residential Care Services, the company’s core values and how they are implemented into Active Assistance’s care strategy. This was followed by Amy who presented case study examples of how the Active Assistance care model has enriched service user’s lives to their maximum potential and ended with a Q&A from the CQC policy and strategy team.

In an email directly to Sharon, the Director of Policy and Strategy said their presentations “…really hit the spot on several levels. Your passion and commitment shone through.” CQC were especially interested in the techniques used by Active, such as the “positive behaviour support” model, and said that Sharon and Amy “were both really engaging and there was a real buzz about the session from the team afterwards.”

Oliver Harris, CEO of Montreux Capital Management (UK), an investment firm which works with Active said: “This feedback from the CQC highlights the dedication, knowledge and skill set of the Active Assistance team in all levels of the organisation. Sharon and Amy have a wealth of experience and it’s a pleasure to have them represent the company when dealing with external governing bodies. Congratulations to them both for doing an excellent job.”
