One of the largest specialist care operators in the UK, Voyage Care has been sold to Wren House, a global infrastructure firm in a deal rumoured to be struck at £45m EBITDA.
The firm, which has been owned by Partners Group and Duke Street since 2014, cares for individuals with a wide range of conditions in both residential and homecare environments. This firm employs over 10,000 staff and supports 3,500 people across the UK. Notably, the group sold down a proportion of its property portfolio in 2019 but still attracted strong interest.
Oliver Harris, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Montreux Capital Management (UK) stated: “We are encouraged to see Voyage Care transact at such a strong multiple. We feel the Active Care Group with its superior property portfolio and quality framework is now very well placed in the market when we take the asset to sale in the medium term. The transaction signals the continued interest of infrastructure buyers in the space and the strong valuations they are willing to put forward.”
